The Socks' Eater

Once upon a time, New York had a sixth borough. A man named Tyler Realdrem was a fantastic scientist. One day, he went to his laboratory. He was often alone and worked on his project. He wanted to find a way to travel around the world quickly. He always tried when he was alone. Day by day, he found some things to reach his objective. The Wednesday, Tyler met a child playing in the park of the borough. The boy was hiding from his friends behind a car in the street. They talked together about countries and journeys. Thanks to the child and his science fiction stories, he found the last thing he was looking for: the way to dematerialize then materialize in a different place. He went back to his laboratory and finished his machine. He was very tired but so enthusiastic. He went to bed and dreamt about his invention. Unfortunately, all his workmates were in the laboratory so he couldn't test his machine. He had to wait three weeks to do it. Tyler put socks with a GPS transmitter inside to know where it will be. He turned the machine on. In a green light, the socks disappeared. He was so surprised that his invention worked. He watched the computer but he didn't find the red point. The socks were nowhere. He put another object. A red point was in Readream. He turned his machine on and once again, a green light took the book. What was wrong? No red point on the Earth. He went back to home. He stayed here the next day, disappointed that his invention didn't work. However, his friend Liam entered the laboratory and found a horrible machine. He tried to call all his workmates (Tyler included) but nobody answered. He turned around it, analyzed it but he didn't understand what it was for. No one came this day. Liam placed a paper to see how it works. He pressed one of the button but nothing happened. He tried again and this time, a green light engulfed all the room, even Liam. Scared, he turned off the machine, cut all the electric wires but it was too late. The green light sent Readream in a parallel world in the past.\ He went out and ran between the buildings to go to the Tyler's house. An aggressive dog barked but he didn't care. He  met the irresistible daughter  of his friend however he had to speak with him. Tyler was happy even if they were in a parallel world, his invention worked. In fact, the journey damaged it, the upshot is that, since the 9^th of April 1998, they have never come back to Earth.
